Pomeroy Fund Allows You To Maximize Your Donation!

Summer 2020

Dear Friend of the Seneca Museum,

We have valued your support throughout the years, and we thank you for being cheerleaders for our organization!

Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry was closed during the first half of 2020 in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.  Fortunately, we were able to reopen on July 1st, having implemented new safety regulations and recommendations. Despite the pandemic, we are happy to announce that we have been able to offer remote programming for children this summer and are planning several socially distant activities for the public soon.  Unfortunately, the loss of visitors to our facility over the past 6 months and the postponement of so many of our planned programs, including our fundraising events, have negatively impacted our projected income for the year.

We are thrilled to announce that the Seneca Museum was invited to raise funds to secure a matching grant from the Pomeroy Fund for NYS History.  These funds will help with expenses incurred to re-open safely under NY guidelines and to continue to operate under these new times. For every two dollars we raise, The Pomeroy Fund for NYS History will grant one dollar. It is our goal to raise the maximum allowable funds of $6000, which will result in a $3000 match, for a total of $9000 to the Museum!

Please, consider donating today.  Donations of any amount are welcome and will count towards our match goal if received by September 30th, 2020. We are able to accept donations via mailed check and online payment:

Thank you in advance for your gift towards keeping the Seneca Museum safe and stable in our community.

With best wishes that you and your family remain healthy and safe,

Sheila Giovannini, President & Rhonda Destino, Executive Director
